Andrew Wendling – Owner & Master Electrician

Andrew Wendling started Wendling Electric in 2019 but first got involved in electrical work in 1997 as a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity. He has worked as an electrician in the Hampton Roads area every day since. Andrew worked 12 years for Eagle Electric learning the electrical trade under Bill Burns and 10 years at Auxiliary Power and Control Systems under Steve Dawkins. Andrew apprenticed under Tom Burns, Todd Blaher, and Rodney White, all master electricians, and he apprenticed under Danny Hall, the current Head Electrical Inspector of Virginia Beach.

Notable Projects

Extensive Residential Work
Wiring large custom oceanfront homes for J.M. Sykes construction. Troubleshooting and updating hundreds of homes in every neighborhood of the Hampton Roads area.

Cox Cable
Working with Call centers, Data centers, Admin building updates and remodels, and large electrical service bunkers with redundant generator backup systems.

Sentara
Working with the Sentara IT department on large data centers. Worked on Hospital additions and remodels in compliance with hospital grade materials and regulations. Maintained electrical systems throughout all of Sentara hospitals and offices.

STIHL
Installed new electrical systems inside STIHL facilities including product material silos, Main distribution panels and branch circuitry for equipment and emergency safety. Coordinated with Maintenance personnel for their semi-annual shut downs for fast electrical change requirements.
